best way to acoustically insulate a concrete wall | |
hi list,
i live in an apartment block and i am planning to get my common wall acoustically insulated.
i can hear neighbours talking through a common wall to my bed room.
the wall is rendered concrete bricks and the thickness is 125 mm. the wall is 5 m wide.
i am not sure if they have a cavity in the bricks, but i think so.
with my ear firmly pressed against the way the talking is clearly understandable.
in my room the normal speech is most times audible.
what is the best way to acoustically insulate and what type of noise reduction will i get?
thanks
stuart
