how to soundproof my bunny's box?

i live in a highrise and get a lot of freeway noise. i have a bunny. he sleeps during the day in a wood box that has 2 openings. i would like to give him some peace and quiet during his downtime. is there any way to construct a somewhat soundproof box for him? one that still has 2 openings for air circulation. it needs to be bunny-safe, i.e., if he chews on it, that the materials won't be harmful. if need be, i can encase the soundproofing material so that he can't chew on it. thank you! sha
