We have a unit with a common wall and we can hear all the noise of the next unit

how do we soundproof our room and not spend too much?

We are looking to soundproof our main bedroom which is joined to the unit next door and you can hear them next door as if they are standing in your room with you talking. Pls advise. Thanks.
